XYZ inside out

XYZ belonged to the category of bands that I had an instant liking. Melodic songs, catchy riffs, classic metal backing vocals and lead solos. The original lineup was Terry Ilous (vocals), Bobby Pieper (guitars), Patt Fontaine (bass) and Joey Pafumi (drums).

Stryper's Christian Heavy metal

Perhaps the only Christian metal band I liked. This was from Orange County, California, USA. Formed in 1983. To Hell with the Devil was the first and the last album I heard. I did not pursue the band after that. The album was really good.

Louder than Hell from Japan

Loudness is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1981 by guitarist Akira Takasaki and drummer Munetaka Higuchi.

Crazy Nights was the first song I heard from the band.



My favourite is the Soldier of Fortune, a song I heard first through BBC's Rock Salad programme.

Fifth Angel

Fifth Angel was a heavy metal band from Bellevue, Washington. Vocalist Ted Pilot, guitarist James Byrd, and drummer Ken Mary formed the group in late 1983.

TNT was formed in the Norwegian city Trondheim in 1982, by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dag Ingebrigtsen, guitarist Ronni Lé Tekrø, bassist Steinar Eikum and drummer Morten "Diesel" Dahl. Read more about in Wikipedia.
